The Swiss Academy of Sciences and the Swiss Science and Innovation Council hold an annual conference. In 2017 the conference was titled "We Scientists Shape Science" and over 200 researchers and key players in the Swiss science landscape met to decide upon first steps towards improving science.
In video-interviews we asked conference participants to time travel to 2070 and look back at the scientific, technological, social and societal achievements of the 21st century so far.
How we did it
Conceptualised and co-produced by Björn Müller and the artist collective Neue Dringlichkeit. The intervention took place at the «We Scientists Shape Science» science congress in Bern from 26 - 27 January 2017. The congress is a joint initiative by the Swiss Academy of Sciences and the Swiss Science and Innovation Council.
